I have learned that Kicking and Punting are both an art and a science. It requires continuous focus on practicing and 1-on-1 feedback sessions using live on the field sessions, then film reviews to enhance your athletic form. My initial step is to identify and refine your current foundational skills, then create a plan to build upon and reinforce these as a path to increased success while having fun playing football.

 

Soccer players can make great kickers and / or punters, too!  I encourage these athletes to consider this path. 

 

Currently I am a Special Teams Coach and Analyst at a nationally renowned D1 College, having moved from years as a Coach at Phoenix Horizon High School where I created a training program to enhance the skills of the Kickers, Punters and Snappers via team and 1-2-1 sessions. My contributions led to a  high school team going to the State playoffs for 2 consecutive years and I proudly led my kicking team with a win in the 2021 Arizona 5A State Championship, the first time for the school in 25 years. The 2022 season saw the high school team reach the Arizona finals once again! I am especially proud that once again in the 2022-2023 seasons I coached the #2 nationally ranked Punter and Kicker!  Last year’s #3 nationally rated kicker is now a starter at a great D1 Football program! A great outcome for him!  The current lead kicker is currently being recruited by 6 different colleges. 

 

Additionally, I am an Assistant Specialist Coach for two nationally recognized Training programs: The Zauner Training Combines and Camps, and Steve Rausch Camps. This is where athletes from across the nation who aspire to be a part of college programs or to join the NFL as expert Kickers, Punters and Snappers. The Zauner Camp focuses on college specialists from D1/2/3 schools as well those having previous NFL experience seeking to showcase their skills and what they can bring to the NFL. The February 2023 Zauner Combine hosted 31 NFL Team Recruiters and over 90 specialists from across the USA. The Rausch Kicking program focuses on High School athletes from around the nation to focus on refining current skills and to learn new techniques to utilize back with their home team! Many of the attendees have gone on to get offers from great college programs as well as big contributors to get their teams into championship races!
